About Marc D. Meglio

I was born and raised in New Haven County and am a long-time resident of the Connecticut Shoreline. I studied Social Science Education at Plymouth State College and developed a strong foundation in communication and service early on while working at my father’s store, the Bottle Barn.

I further refined my people skills over a long and successful career as a Sales Associate and Manager at The Home Depot. In 2017, I transitioned into the mortgage industry – a move that perfectly aligned with my passion for helping others – and I haven’t looked back since. I am dedicated to helping clients navigate the refinance or purchase of their primary residence, second home, or investment property. I truly enjoy helping people reach their goals and feel honored to work with each client. Building meaningful relationships and guiding people through important financial decisions gives my work a strong sense of purpose.

In 2023, I earned my Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP®) designation, a specialized credential focused on the financial and mortgage-related complexities of divorce. As a CDLP, I work collaboratively with family law attorneys, mediators, and financial professionals to help individuals understand their mortgage options, evaluate settlement scenarios involving real estate, and make informed housing decisions during and after divorce. My role is to provide clarity, stability, and forward-looking guidance during what is often a challenging life transition.

I am actively involved in my community and professional organizations. I serve as a Board Member and volunteer for the Women & Family Life Center and am a member of the Connecticut Council on Non-Adversarial Divorce, the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, the New Haven County Bar, and the Collaborative Professionals of Fairfield County. These affiliations reflect my commitment to collaboration, education, and client-centered solutions.

In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, RV’ing, great food, and spending time with loved ones and friends.
